My husband and I are about to purchase a 1999 Monaco Dynasty PBS FD 40 with 44,000 miles tomorrow. It has the 350 Cummins engine. We are new to RVing. I have researched on-line alot and I have not encountered any references to major issues with this particular RV.

A friend just suggested asking you folks tonight before closing the deal tomorrow:Are there any major problems or issues associated with this specific RV that we need to be aware of or address?

I know it's short notice but I had breast cancer surgery 3 months ago and we are hoping to spend a few months enjoying America before the next phase of my treatment. It would be terrible if we buy an RV with well-known troubles and we did not know to ask about them before we buy.

Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks, SharonN

SharonN..Welcome to iRV2!! I certainly hope you get some feedback by tomorrow AM. What part of the country are you located in? I did send one of our Member's a PM . He has a 1998 Dynasty - so he may have some good feedback for you. I have not seen him here since before the software change though..so I am not promising anything.

Again ...welcome to the forum, I hope that you will find all the information, tips and help that you may need here...just as many other have.

Wonderful coach Sharon! We love ours and have had very few problems. Most of mine were self-inflicted. Obviously look at the condition and manufacture dates on the tires, check for any leaking shocks, and if you have time, let it sit on the bags for a couple of days to see how much leak down you get. Our AC has only just now required a R134 infusion, so that's pretty good. Operate every system on the coach, jacks, fridge on gas and electric, generator with full load for at least a half hour, etc etc. We had a roof leak around the sat dish and another at the fridge vent. No biggie, but the stains drove me nuts until I got them eradicated.

Sure would be nice to have a maintenance history too, but if the price is right and it drives good ..... go for it! If you have anything specific I can look at or fuss about, let me know.
