1st time M/H owner (2000 Monaco Dynasty 40')

Learning a lot on this forum. Doing all P/M's myself. Everything going well so far. Changed out original TV's to flat screen 40 & 24". Added a MORyde pass thru tray(love it). Run into a little problem. Kitchen sink drain. Slide out has a hose hookup to drain pipe. Accessibility isn't very good. I get to the end on sink drain pipe. Other end is somewhere I can't see. I have drawers out to get to it. (Hose is for flexibility when moving slide for kitchen/living room). Problem: Hose is kinking and sink won't drain. No other obstructions. Help??????🙏🏻

Glad to have you here in the forum with us.

Sorry i can't help. Plumbing is not my forte. You might want to ask about this issue in the Monaco forum.

Happy Trails!!!

Looks like I'll have to pull out the washer to get accessibility in the area. If I do , I'll put a non kinking hose in.

If your kitchen slide like I think it is, the hose is in a bundle with water supply tubing, aquahot lines, a gas line and maybe other lines as well. If it's like mine, there's a roll-top-desk type set of slats which can be disconnected and moved out of the way, if not and you have the layout with a washer-dryer next to the kitchen you may well need to move it out to get to the bundle.

Once you can see it you should see a "C" shaped loop and it should be pretty clear if you have a kink or blockage.

Congrats and best of luck with your new Dynasty!.

Kinked drain hose

Yes I can see the kink. Will have to pull washer. No hurry at this moment. Going for a week long trip. It's not leaking just a trickle drain. Will replace with a non kinking hose when we get back. Not planning to use sink that much on this trip.
Do you know what is involved in removing the washer/dryer combo?
Thanks for the reply and welcome.

Not sure what size of drain hose you are dealing with but could you cut hose at bend and install a straight, 45 or 90 degree copper/plastic hard fitting, if this could be done would eliminate kink & save a lot of time?
Just a thought.

It's a regular garden hose. It's old and wil kink somewhere else. Going to replace.

Congrat's on Owning a Monaco, I mean the real ones, and it's awesome your doing lots of your own work!

I should have my 06 Exec' this Friday, and I'll be better able to chime in once I have learned all the systems...

Good luck on working that kink out

New to me & you

That's what the party I bought this 2000 Dynasty said. "Better than the new ones"
I was reading your posts when you were looking at Monacos. Guess you found one you liked.
You can save a ton of $ by doing your own work (if you can). I'm not packing the front wheels myself. I'll pay for that work.

Replacing with new is always best, just thought you might be looking for a quick fix to get you through your trip.

from WA State!

On the last DSDP we had Newmar used a brass swivel fitting and fairly large reinforced hose. Never had a problem with the drain in the 13 years we had the rig. The swivel fitting looked to be a commercial fitting, maybe from a boat?
