I have been seriously considering moving up to a 2000 monaco dynasty, single rear axle 40' with two slides, i have been told by several people that the 40 with 2 slides is too long for the single axle in the rear and that it requires tag axle for ride and safety, I am looking to thosein the know if this is true or an old wives tale, please comment if you have any expereince with this coach.
Thanks
Bill

Bill; I had a 40' 2001 Dynasty with one slide. It was very stable rode and drove very well. We now have a 2 slide Windsor 40' it drives like the Dynasty. IMHO the rear slide adds a very small amount of extra weight. The bed is the heavy part and you have that in the no rear slide model.. I would highly reccomend the Dynasty as it is on of Monaco's better coaches.

This is a wonderful coach. No need for a tag axle and there are tons of these things running down the highway. You'll love the coach!!!

There hundreds or maybe thousands of 40' MHs with one or two slides and single rear axles. They can't be all that bad.

I have 2000 Dynasty with 1 slide. Full fuel and water ready to travel and rear axel weighs 20,400lbs. I travel with half tank of water to keep at max axel weight of 20,000lbs.

Bill we have a 2000 Dyn with 2 slides one rear axle and it rides and handles good with lots of storage without going over the weight limit, Im sorry but your friend didnt know what he was talking about.
It was the only 2 slide Dyn made in 2000 and the name designation is Regent and no longer listed on the Monaco web for some reason.
