2000 Dynasty Dash instruments and lights dead

Went out to start the beast after sitting for three weeks. No instruments, no warning lights—as if the whole dash was dead. I had removed, WD-40 and re-inserted every fuse in the FRB some time ago, and did several of them again when I was looking for the Propane Alarm fuse, so I kinda doubt that is the problem. Engine started OK, even without any instruments working. It sat idling for a few minutes, THEN SHUT ITSELF OFF. When I turned the key to “OFF” and turned back to “ON”, instruments came on and engine started OK. Something is loose or faulty somewhere, but I’m not sure where to start. It’s not the “Dash Panel” fuse—I’ve removed and reinserted it several times. I’ll try loosening all the fuse wire screws and retightening. And during the first few seconds when it started the second time (and all instruments were working) the tach was erratic again. Allison panel always operated properly, regardless and dash malfunction. I think I’ve got a loose connection somewhere. Any ideas where to start looking?

Curious. I had a similar problem while cycling the ignition while changing fuel filters. My ignition switch has felt odd, when turning it, for a while. I replaced it. While I waited for it I chased the chassis battery connections and found the POS side with some corrosion. It has not happened since.

Thanks. I'm in the process of checking all connections and grounds. Will also replace the relay involved.
