2000 Monaco Diplomat 38D
Hi All,
Looking to buy a used motor home and we've found a 2000 Monaco Diplomat 38D that we quite like.
Does anyone have any experience with this model?
Thanks for any help
Barbara

Barbara I drove one like that about 2,000 miles taking it to a friend who was ill at the time. It is very much like my 02 Dip 40-footer and should be a good coach for you. Differences I noticed driving it was the trucks passing pushed it a bit but that was all. Check the date code on the tires and if 5-years old, plan on replacing them.

2000 Diplomat
Hi, We purchased a 2001 Diplomat LE 38 Ft two years ago. Replaced the tires and left for a 5000 mile trip immediately. Love the rig, comfortable to drive, VERY quiet. Interior, room is excellent, well built, comfortable, etc. Engine has plenty of power, LE model has full body paint and fellow campers assume the rig is 5 years newer than it really is. Total of 11,500 miles in two seasons, excellent rig. Good luck with it, Dave

I recently bought a 1991, and picked it up Nashville Tenn., drove it back to Dallas area, Texas. I was really pleased with the way it handled. Yes a fast truck in the hammer lane will give you a slight push, but it didn't really bother me that much, after knowing it was coming. I found it to be very solid coach, and for the money and what I wanted, I couldn't have bought a better coach.
Happy motoring, drive safely.
Ron

I have had this same coach for the last 11 yrs. Upgrades included replacement of refridge, carpet to wood floors, larger size tires, and all furniture and mattress. Motorhome now is all electric except for hot water heater. Just remember old saying "they will break sitting in yard".
We were going to buy new last yr but the pricing on new is outragous and that is when I started refurb.

Do you have pictures of the refurbs? I would love to see them as we are getting ideas together now to make some upgrades to our 38' Monaco.

2000 Monaco Diplomat
Hi Barbara,
I have the exact model, it is an incredible machine, there is nothing I can complaint about, starting with the slides and ending with the a/c's, it is a great machine, Trust it, buy it and just keep up with preventive maintenance.
