My step was recently replaced with an incorrect Kwikee series, step height is now 14" from tread to first step in rig. Does anyone know the correct series number of Kwikee steps for the 2000 Diplomat, single step. I "think" it is a 38..................Any info would be appreciated.

Go to the following site and you should be able to figure it out.

Single Electric Steps

I think you have a series 38.

Thanks, Walt and Will; however, I believe your's being a Dynasty, you have a double step. Should have posted "single step".

Rex, I believe you are correct. Have gone to the Kwikee site to check it out; however, with the original step gone - have no way of knowing for certain, except that it fit close to the rig when in the stowed position. Might give Monaco a call and pick some one's brain.

No its a single 5" step and I think that is what you will need, just measure from the top of the hole to about where the top of the old step was and I think you will see that you need a #35

My coach is only one year later than yours and I am about 99% sure they have the same step. Mine is the 38 series.

Hopefully someone with a 2000 year coach will respond and provide some measurements for you.

Walt and Will, Are you speaking of the whole in which the step retracts inside of? Or the hole for the first step "in" the rig? I do not have a hole in the body for the step to retract into.

WHOO!!! HOOO!!! Greg, you are AWESOME. Thank you, so much for confirming the Series 38 step.

BTW I see you have 3-Gr Danes.........what colors? I currently am owned by 3-Fawns............the RV is for them; and, on them has trouble getting into the rig since the incorrect series step was installed; reason for pursuing the correct one. THANKS again................
