Hey Guys,

I just bought a 2000 Windsor, and I have a fill up question.

On my last RV I used the gravity fill. This one doesn't seem to have it.

When I fill it up, I put the hose on the city/fresh coupler. (which is under the solid waste sticker- the stickers are off set for some reason) And then turn the red valve. My inside guage doesn't go to full but water starts dripping out from the other side somewhere. It takes a long time to fill also.

Am I doing it correctly?

Here is a pic of the water dept.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Cory

The tank is most likely filling. You can tell if you go inside and turn the faucet on with the water pump off, no water then it should be going into the fresh water tank. You should also be able to hear the water going into the tank. It will take quite a while as you are filling up 100 gal tank and your hose is probably putting out 2-3 GPM. Most of the tank sensor don't register correctly. I have a flowmeter I attach to mine when I fill to tell me how many gallons I have put in. There are many of these listed if you will goggle water hose flowmeter.

Almost every RV I've seen the gravity fill is in direct line above the 100 gallon holding tank.
Should be a 4 inch square or round locking panel on the other side of the rig, find your tank and look strait above a foot or so.
good Luck

Larry,

I looked. I don't have it, I wish it did!

I'm just currious if I'm supposed to turn the red handle or not. I can hear water going in very very slowly in both positions.

Thank you!

Cory,
I have an 01 Windsor 38' and the water compartment is setup almost like yours, except my fill valve is right under the Fill-Run decal. you can see the holes for 1 like mine in your picture. Water will pour out of the tank overflow on the curdside when the tank is full. It does take awhile to fill the 100 gal. tank. You could also have a plugged screen in in the fill port. Another possability is your trying to fill using the flush port which has small jets to flush the black tank. I added a gravity fill on my old motorhome because it didn't have 1 and back then I needed it.

By the way your soap despenser is upside down.

I'm not sure if your readouts are like mine, but there should be a small plug below each of the indicator lights where a small Phillips screw controls a potentiometer so you can fill the tank then adjust the light to full....then sometime you can fill up your grey and black tanks and 'tweek' the light levels.

The switch for the water should be on house (or city depending on how it is labelled) unless your are filling then move the lever over. When you are parked and hooked up to city water leave it on house (sometimes it says city water). Sometimes I forget to switch the water valve back after filling and when I turn on the water pump it runs continuously trying to prime itself until you put the valve back.

I think it is in the travel position so soap doesn't come out as you run down the road jiggling the dispenser. Turn it over and you get the soap.

Of course, the comment might have been in jest......
