2001 Diplomat Water Quick Disconnect

Hi,
I have a 2001 Monaca Diplomat, that we bought last year and love ! The fresh water hose connection has what I call a quick release fitting on it, sort of like an air line, so instead of having to thread on a hose to hook up the water, you just have a hose with the quick release on it. This is our 1st RV so I don't know how common this is, I would assume it's pretty common. My question is this, where do I purchase one of these ? I need the female end that would go on a hose, I want to make or buy a hose for winterizing it and need to connect to this fitting to blow air through the lines to do this. I'm looking at a hose like this - https://www.ebay.com/itm/Winterize-R...item48b3dae53b
but they all have the threaded type of connector. I have looked at Walmart and don't see anything like what I have. If someone could point me in the right direction, and give me the proper name for the parts I would appreciate it
Thanks
Michael

Hi Michael; To answer your question, no. That is not a normal fresh water hose connection. On my 01 Windsor, someone, a previous owner, cut the sprayer end off the compartment hose in the wet bay and put a female air coupling on it. Some garden hoses have been made with quick connect connectors so there are no threaded connections. I have one similar to what you posted for blowing out my fresh water lines. The connection in the wet bay for my fresh water has the threaded connection. I am sure if you want that type of connection, you would wind up looking in the air coupling connection department. Keep in mind that there are several different types of connectors. At a quick glance, they can look the same. I am sure someone in a hardware store could help you pick out what you need. Hope this info helps!

I wonder if the original owner put it on? I don't have a quick connect on any water fittings on my coach. Lowes and HD's have quick connect fittings for air. I've never tried it with water.

I tried putting quick connect fittings in wet bay but couldn’t keep them from leaking. Went back to standard threaded.

Ok, so it will be harder than I though :(
It's always worked great, no leaks or anything when I hook up the water.
It's a larger diameter than any air one I have ever seen.

My uncle has a HR Admiral and it has the same connection on it so I thought it might be something they used when they built them, but it sounds like not
Thanks
Michael
