2001 Dynasty Aqua Hot recovery tank?

I have crawled in every basement compartment looking for my 2001 Dynasty Aqua Hot coolant recovery tank. The model is AHE 100-01S-12 VDC. I crawled into the roll out tray and opened the sliding doors and can see the mail fill pressure cap but cannot find the expansion tank. Does my unit have one. My trouble shooting manual is labeled model #920431/432 and shows a recovery tank with a overflow line from the main fill neck and appears to be outside the housing. My recovery line disappears in to a bundle of clear hoses. Cant trace to tank. I did remove the service panel. Any help here? Thanks...Gary

I've read posts here where some have been mounted in the engine compartment.

Open the curb side compartment where the fuel tank and LP tank is located. The overflow should be on the front bulkhead. You may have the take two screws out of a couple of straps on the bottom edge to open the compartment. The AquaHot fuel filter should be high up on the rear bulkhead in the same compartment.

Thanks Steve. I found it after finally getting the lock on the door to work. I did not expect it to be 10 ft away and two doors down. I notice I have green fluid in the tank and the jug of boiler coolant that came with the rig in pink. I remember reading a thread on that subject so...GOOGLE

Your AquaHot, like mine, uses standard automotive ethylene glycol coolant.

ooooh, I dont know about that . Automotive antifreeze is toxic if it got into your water system. I'm pretty sure the green antfreeze that is in some of the newer AH's, (lot's of discussion on the Entegra board) is still a non-toxic antifreeze.

Call up AquaHot. They will tell you that in the units built before '03 that ethylene glycol is what they were shipped with. In these units the hot water loop was wrapped around the outside of the boiler tank and there is no possibility of cross contamination. The units were redesigned in the next generation and the hot water loop was put inside the coolant tank in direct contact with the coolant.

Bottom line, standard coolant is fine and from a heat transfer standpoint it's superior.
