2002 Endeavor Shower How to get to rear

Broke off one handle on shower controls and need to get to back of shower. Have a galley slide with the mirrors on the kitchen wall of the shower rear. This is the only place I can see that I can get to the back of the shower but I can't figure out how to remove the mirror. There is one long mirror that goes to the floor and next to that a shorter one (about 1/2) that appears to rest on the framing of the opening for the plumbing etc feed for the galley. Their are two regular household plastic mirror screw in clips holding the smaller mirror. Took these off but cant budge the mirror. Very worried about craking or demolishing the mirror........Has anyone removed this mirror and if so HOW did you do it ?????

Don't know anything about your shower access, but I do seem to remember someone talking about using fishing line to "cut" the tape that is on the back of the mirror.

Once you figure it out, PLEASE post what you did to gain access, and if you also had to cut an access hole in the wall behind the mirror. As these coaches age, many of us are going to have this problem.

Pictures would be very helpful after the mirror is removed.

One idea mentioned above is use fishing line to cut the tape or caulk behind the mirror. Not an easy task but it should work. Or you could use piano wire.

I also have the kitchen slide with the mirrors on the wall backing up to the shower. On my slide there is one cabinet backing to that wall that is angled. The back and end of this cabinet come out from the inside to expose the hose and wiring connections to the slide. You can use a mirror and see the connections behind the shower, but you cannot reach them. Don't remember if I could see the bottom edge of the mirror or not.

I mention this just in case it is of any help to you.

Best of luck

Problem Resolved -2002 Endeavor shower

I contacted Monaco and the said the mirror was glued on and most likely would break up if we tried to remove it.

My friend the RV Tech managed to get a shive like tool behind a corner and slowly worked it up and accross the lenght of the mirror and got it off without breaking it. He said it took a long time and a lot of delicate menuvering. I may have been able to buy a new mirror for the amount of time it took him to get it off. He also said the mirror was quite strong and of very good quality.

After the mirror was off he easily cut a hole in the very thin baker board and changed out the complete shower fittings. He said it was a very hard area to work in as he was hanging over the corner of the sink all the time.

He put the mirroe back up with a putty like material that will hold it in place but come up real easy if we ever need to get back there again.

Very releived and happy that is fixed.
