2002 Holiday Rambler Admiral Overhead / Dash TV Cabinet removal?

Hi
We recently removed the anchor (TV) above the dash and we would like to remove the cabinet to have it trimmed down or replaced. I see 4 screws coming into the cabinet from the sides. How do we get to these screws? Inside the cabinets on the left and right are plastic cabinet liners. Can these be removed without damaging them or do we have to drop the complete line of cabinets?
Thank you,
Dan

Dan, I just ran across your post / question and was wondering if you received any responses and or suggestions. Did you go ahead and trim that big box? I have a 05 HR Admiral gasser with the same box which I'm going to shorten to line up with the two cabinets on the sides. I removed the tv and relocated it to the back of the LR, so now the box is just in the way. Let me know what you've learned. THX gary

I just finished the removal, disassembly of cabinet and cutting it down and reinstalling it. I have to say it came out very nice.

I’ll snap some pics of the finished install and post them in a couple minutes.

The mark in the head liner will be covered with a piece of cherry scrolling in due time. I have to make it.

No more banging my head on entry. What a blessing.

Dave,
Thank you for the response and pictures. Your work turned out very nice..
I saw there are five screw holes on each side of the cabinet for the TV. On ours, those start in the small cabinets on the other side, so I could not get to them with out taking those apart.
We ended up taking the coach to a shop and paid to have this done as well as a spring roof check.
I'll get out later once the sun comes up and snap some pictures.
Thanks once again.

Thank you Dan and Dave both for the info and pics. I hope that I can get to the screws from the inside of the tv box as well so that I don't have to disassemble the two side boxes. My wife will be happy not bumping into it when it's trimmed also.

Gary, on my 04 Camelot, there screws inside the tv box going into a cleat mounted on the lower edges of the cabinets and there were screws covered by a thin trim cover plate that went through the tv box into the edge of the cabinet's front face. Hard to explain, but it is possible to remove the tv cabinet in my 04 that had an old flat screenish type tv. I did remove my right cabinet and narrowed it to allow e to make my tv box wider for a new 43" smart tv. See my project for updates as I am building the tv cabinet right now. https://www.irv2.com/forums/f115/jus...444980-37.html

Here is a picture of the finished product. The mount is rated up to 100 lbs and locks in place. Notice the ring under the TV, this is the pull chain to release the lock. Behind the TV is the Blu Ray player. This TV with a new antenna we picked up 32 channels, topped off with no more head banging!
Thank you for your input.
