2004 Windsor fuel, boost and water temp gauges not reading.

On recent trip fuels stayed full, boost didn’t register and water stayed below 100. The Alladin showed the water temp as averaging 200 so I assumed, emthat sender is working. Can someone guide me thru the trouble shooting steps to help isolate the problem.

on an ‘04 you should have gauges that are individually powered and grounded. I would start with ground . try running a new temporary ground wire to back of gauge (grd terrminal) - if gauge starts working you will know that it’s a ground problem. otherwise be sure you are getting 12V power to gauge from ignition switch.

I would check the wiring bundles under the dash. It sounds like maybe one of the plastic connectors for the bundled wires has come unplugged.

Keep in mind that the Aladdin reads the data from the engine computer which uses a different sensor than that of the dash gauge.

But seeing that you have multiple gauges acting up, I tend to think is something common to the gauges rather than having multiple sending units fail at the same time.

Is the Boost gauge you mention an "in-dash" gauge too or are you reading this through the Aladdin?

Gauge is in dash and reads boost. I assume it is for the turbo.

I would start be looking at the common ground for the gauges.

This diagram is for a 2003 Beaver - but would be similar to what you have. Notice at the 12 o'clock position between the Tach and Speedo gauges there is a ground wire. That same wire goes to multiple gauges. If the wire was loose or "open" you would/could have gauge issues.

GO to the back of the gauges and check that the terminal nuts are snug. If they are you could try running a temporary ground wire (i.e. get a length of 14ga wire and attach one end to ground terminal on gauge and the other end to a good ground.

I lost different gauges and it was a plastic connector that came apart in the panel beside the drivers seat. Check there and under the dash as Jim had mentioned and if they have
a common ground it could be that.
