2006 knight topper awning question

I have a 2006 Monaco knight that the front, driver side slide out awning is coming apart on. The only problem is the stitched loop that attaches the awning to the side of the motorhomes is coming in stitched. I got a price of $750 to replace it but me being the handy man, I want to dis assemble and bring the fabric to a canvas shop to be restitched. With that said, does anyone know which carefree of Colorado awnings did they use on these models? I found the directions on line for replacing the fabric but a few models look like mine.

I can't speak to exactly which model is on your coach, but I'm sure another Knight'er will come along to help. In any case, I think the material removal/replacement procedure is similar.

Glad you're planning to do it yourself. When mine first came apart, I had a dealer re-stitch that seam on all 4 awnings at the same time, to the tune of almost $1,000. When it was time to have them redone again 2 years later (for $1000, you'd think the repair would last forever!), a neighboring rv'er helped me take them off/on and get them to a local canvas shop... $170 for everything. And that included taking him and his wife to a steak dinner as thanks.

On your topper is a # you can order a new one or take that one one off and get it restitched. Carefree uses a thread that rots quick. I ordered a new full wall slide 29ft long topper from CW $250 plus labor.
