Somethign similar happened to me, our coaches are cousins, so maybe. I had no power either to kitchen outlets, and the bathroom GFI was popped and would not reset. I call my mechanic, he says "I'm too drunk to come over, but turn on your inverter, reset the bathroom GFI." I did, it worked. He didn't even charge me, so I won't charge you either.

Also push the reset button on your inverter just to see if that does anything before investigating further.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Congrats on the new rig! X2 on what the others suggested. Have fun and keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Thanks

Thanks
Did not know where the controlling GFI was
Did not work, but it may be a bad GFI, will replace it
We have had every type of RV starting with a 1963 Airstream
Was expecting some problems with a used coach.
But the dealer really screwed us, and so far is no help.
One more call, then the Atty Gen for the state can take over
Thanks again

You don’t give much for details but it sounds like power is getting into the rig and that at least one of the outlets is working. You say that the clock in the microwave is working. What about the microwave itself? AC working? Aquahot on AC? Refrigerator on AC? Inverter/charger charging the batteries? You need to check things out before you start changing parts. Do the have a voltmeter and know how to use it? If it is only some of the outlets, then could very well be a tripped GFI. If it doesn’t appear tripped, can you manually trip and reset it? Do you have the same symptoms when on generator as when on shore power?

Let us know what you fine and we’ll go from there?

Good luck,
Dennis

My 2005 has the GFI located on the wall receptacle in the basement storage compartment (last one before rear tires on curbside). The other GFI is in the bathroom.

My '06 Endeavor PAQ had a GFI in the potty-room and one in passenger-side rearmost bay.

Sorry to be a stickler, but please tell us which 2006 model you have. It makes a big difference. Is your coach a Cayman, Knight, Diplomat, Camelot, Dynasty, Executive, or Signature? Just stating you have a Monaco does not provide enough detail.

We have a 2006 Diplomat and it seems to be different from all the other models.

This is usually something simple. (Aqua Hot runs on 12v.)
Have you checked your inverter? (The inverter "pass through" supplies many of the 110v outlets in your coach).
Should be an inverter installed hanging against the ceiling of the large basement compartment. Check the push-in type circuit breaker on it (may be 1 or 2).
Also check the inverter remote inside. You may have to do an inverter reset.

Download a soft copy your owners manual here:
https://www.monacocoach.com/rv-owners-manuals

Then you can do a search selecting "Edit" on the top menu, then "Find" about 2/3 of the way down.
Your house electrical is covered on page 209 and GFCI outlets are covered on page 223.
Hope you find it.

It was the inverter

My problem was fixed by, first finding the two reset buttons on the inverter, and resetting them.
However along the way i found all 4 wires to the bathroom GFI were loose, one fell off when I pulled it out to check voltage.
Thanks to all for the help
