Well now that were settling in with our "New to Us" 2006 Camelot PDQ, I have a couple of questions.
I noticed on the main breaker panel there is a circuit breaker labeled "BLOCK HEATER." I know what a Block Heater is, but I can't find a switch anywhere that allows me to turn it on.
Can any of you Camelot owners tell me where this switch is?
Also, on the left side, on the inside of the rear cap there is what appears to be a drain tube of some sort. It's about 1 to 1-1/2 inches in diameter. It seems to come from the bottom of the air intake vent up towards the top of the rear cap. This tube looks okay for about 1 or 2 feet but then it's come undone and is a twisted mangled mess and protrudes all the way to the ground. Is this a drain tube, and where is it supposed to go. I'm thinking maybe it was just attached somewhere near the bottom of the coach and allowed rain water or moisture just to run off from the air intake grill. Can anyone confirm this and if my hunch is correct? If this is all it is I can repair it with a different type of tube.
Thanks in advance...

If like our coach, you will find a male plug in the compartment that houses the power cord in the rear road side panel. Plug that into the receptacle and the block heater will work. Sorry can't help with the hose.

That tube could be for the A/C drain. Maybe!

That tube is the drain for the air intake -- Air intake housing have a low point, where the drain attaches -- If it wasn`t there, rain water would go into the filter -- The block heater recpt is a GFI protected recept, mounted on the wall in the engine compartment -- A 3 pronge plug should be near by, & that is for your block heater -- The breaker in the panel box is the only switch -- You plug in the block heater cord, & turn it off & on using the breaker -- If you have Aqua-Hot, that is the best method to warm the engine -

Can anyone tell me what the "system heat" switch is for? It is located on the main control center where the slide out switches are, etc. Coach is a 2006 Camelot 40PDQ.

System heat switch is for the 12 volt heater in the wet bay. Heater is turned on by a snap temp sensor located in same bay. Should be a light next to switch to show when it is on . Heater will come on when temp is below 40 F off about 56 F .
Hope this helps.

It`s for a 12v heater in the wet bay, & is controled by a snap disc that is located in same -- Keeps your water pipes from freezing -- Bill Willard

The System Heat also probably powers heat blankets for some of your tanks. On our '09 Camelot the black and gray tanks can be heated by the heater in the service center bay but the fresh water tank is in a different compartment and needs a blanket to heat it. All are powered up by the same snap disk control in the service center bay. Hope this helps.
For Bob, I agree that the drain hose you talked about is the drain from the air intake box, make sure it is clear and your air intake compartment is draining properly or you will probably get water into the engine intake when it rains.
