I would confirm the coolant overflow tank is at the full mark. Simple to check

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Congrats on the new rig! That's a real bummer to have that problem right after getting it home! Are there any warning lights on the dash display when it shuts down? You may have to get it to a shop that can plug into the computer port and check the codes.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Happy New Year!

Pay close attention to connections, especially in the battery compartment. Check all the battery cables and wires for tight connections. Also, the battery disconnect switches have been know to be intermittent. Try moving them between on and off. When you start the engine you might get vibration that will cause a poor connection to misbehave.

Also locate the plugs that connect to the ECM and unplug them and spray with WD40.
