I think the Beaver is on the RR10S chassis and the Navigator is on the S series chassis. The point I'm making is there is a big difference between the two that is not visible. I have a friend with a Contessa. I really like it but wouldn't put it in the same class as a Navigator. Hydro Hot vs. Aqua Hot is equal, IMHO.
Regardless, whatever you would like to live in floor plan wise may over ride everything else.

Yes, you are correct about that.
In case OP doesnt know, the "S" series chassis is the top-of-line Roadmaster chassis.
And as you mentioned, the Navigator is the top of line HR model, whereas the Contessa is the middle-of-the-line Beaver model.

Using NADA for RV values is a minefield. Most of the options listed on NADA are actually standard equipment on a large diesel coach. So, I skip the options.
NADA says not to use the mileage on a diesel coach, but if you take it to a dealer they will definitely use mileage.
If you find a nice coach at the low to wholesale price, then you are doing well. Some coaches, usually short Alpine or Country Coach models will be priced well over NADA bluebook. It's not uncommon to see a dealer list an older Country Coach at twice NADA value.
Do your homework and be careful. I actually subscribed to NADA for the wholesale value guide.

The Navigator is definitely a couple levels above a Contessa. What year is the Navigator (sorry if I missed it)?

The navigator needs tires, and full-service.
The beaver has similar equipment, 400 HP motor, off brand hot water source, not as much bling, new tires, full serviced all three units, is local, and over $40,000 less. Oh, it also has 20,000 fewer miles. The Beaver carpet is dirty. Wifey wants to replace with hardwoods. Thoughts and prices would be appreciated.

I think that the previous owner taking such good care of the Navigator should outweigh some of that $40,000. As previously said the Navigator has a better chassis, an Aquahot and "other bling". I'd pick the Nav. Obviously I am biased by owning a Navigator

I’m sorry to stay on this topic so long, just looking for advice. 07 Contessa with 36,000 miles is in good shape. At $100,000 is it a bargain buy? Your opinion, should I wait and just look at trying to pick up a well equipped dynasty or beaver patriot?

No worries. I don't think the $100k price is a steal but without seeing it, seems to be a fair price. a Patriot or Patriot Thunder or Dynasty of the same year will be more because they are 'more' of a coach compared to the Contessa. If you can afford more, then by all means, look at the higher end coaches. Not to add more confusion but have you looked at Country Coach?
