2007 Holiday Rambler Atlantis NEW FLOORING

I just ordered Lifeproof vinyl plank flooring for my RV.
I'm worried about the slide and from what I have learned it is a flat slide, no rollers, it has some kind of gear system.
I am not lovin the uncomfortable and ugly jack knife sofa and want to take it out too. I can see a wire under the sofa and a manual crank system for the slide.
1) would you lay vinyl planks all the way in the slide or how far back
2) Is the sofa hard to remove?
Any advice is appreciated. Thank you
