I feel your pain on the coax cable runs on our Beavers. I am going to tackle that project too. I want to find all my wires and get the Satellite, cable connections working in the wet bay. Also am adding newer Winegard OTA antenna head and signal meter to the system. After upgrading from the roof mounted Kingdome to the Dish Traveler 1000 a couple years ago the OTA antenna doesn't work, or I don't know how to work it anyway.

Sure would be nice to clean that rats nest of coax cables up in the TV cabinet. When the new Traveler was installed they just added new coax and left the old there. Hard to figure out what's what.

I ended up abandoning the wet bay sat connection. It was dead somewhere.
Either way, after talking with the tech, I would have had to physically change coax on the back of the reciever if I switch from on ths roof to on the ground. Sooo....I will hook my coax extension to the bulked fitting on the roof when I take it down. The coax will have to drape down the side, not ideal, but it is what it is.
I did have a good run of coax to the wet bay for cable tv. Now that works too.
I opted for the $59.99 OTA over the air integration with the dish receiver. It works great, only one menu to look at for both satelite and OTA.
The antenna booster is a must, I feel.

Just use the cable hookup in your wetbay, for your satellite. I've done that before.

And wouldn't a toner allow you to trace cables without pulling them ?
I can only imagine how hard it was to pull out of all the nooks and crannies

HD has a simple toner kit. That's how I traced all my love bed and found some bad ends.

I have a toner. Maybe it just isn't a good one.
