DCTENT, I think you will find out this is your Daytime Running Lights relay. Most of these Monaco's also have a Hamsar relay that turns on your alternator failure light on your dash. This relay should have a number on it that you can Google. George 2001 Diplomat

Thanks 86, I Cannot Read anything on the relay itself as it's Burned really bad, I found out what it was by a Spread sheet I made of all Fuse & relays in My electrical Compartments, was lot of work, But without My sheet, I would'nt have known what the relay was.
As far as it being My running lights, I believe you are correct as My running Lights were (AT TIMES) not lit on my last short trip.
Now Im concerned why it shorted.

dctent: If you do a search on this forum you will find where I had the eaxct problem with my front run eletrical panel. According to Monaco it happens when the DRL relay shorts internally. I was lucky that I caught it in time. The DRL board was fried as well as the module and 3 relays. I needed new plastic connectors as well. The only other damage was the wiring was smokey colored. All the other items were fine. Monaco should have that board. When I bought it the bare board was about $70.00 and the other stuff came to maybe $100.00. The relays are avaialable at any auto parts store. The DRL module is hard to find. Not the same as the auto modules. Mine came right from Hanser to my supplier. You better order that board right away. If Monaco cannot help I think Northwetst Salavge may have them. It is made by Intellitec but they do not sell it to anyone other than Monaco. I was told that mine was old stock and in the future would cost more. Yours is the 3rd one with that problem that I have encountered. If you are not able to ix this yourself I would make an insurance claim. I didnt make any claims as I did part of the work and I live a mile from a great Auto electric shop. They sent a tech to my house and he finished off my work and blessed the whole job .

The Hamsar DRL looks like a standard Bosch type relay and will plug into the same jack. It is NOT the same. It has other components in the case and is potted so you can't see the parts. Only source I know of is Monaco. Give them a call with your coach number and they should be able to provide the part.

Rex: I had a truck parts counter get the relay. I had the hansar part # and they had it in a week. They are made in Canada. Monaco's price was very high.

Moisheh, thanks for that information. I knew it was made in Canada, and that the company does not sell direct. I had contacted a couple of Distributors but they could not come up with the relay.

Good to know it is available from other than Monaco. Please post the number of your relay.

It's an H8014B. If you call Hamsar they can tell you the names of a dealer in your area.
