2008 Knight Front Electric Shade Problem.

I have a 2008 Monaco Knight with 2 electric sun screens in the front. The passenger side has a problem. When I go to lower it it will only come down about an inch or so and stops. I push the button again and the same thing happens. This happens with the passenger button or the button I have on the dash on the drivers side. When I push the button to raise it it comes up in one pop without an issue.

Not sure of the brand. The shades are black with metal arms raising and lowering them.

Anyone got an idea what is going on?

Here's some questions that I'll throw out there to you even though I haven't had your problem and it sounds like your buttons are working. I'm shooting in the dark here. Are the cross arms on your shade bent and sticking together? Are you still hearing the shade motor whirr or something like that after the shade sticks in the lower position? Will it continue to go down if someone else pulls it down slightly when you hit the sticking point? I have a manual drivers side window shade that may be a little out of adjustement when I push it up all of the way. The roller may need a little lubrication so that it rolls the screen all of the way up. It gets a little slop in the screen at about two inches before rolling all of the way up.
Good luck,
Tom

bigdomino........AKBrick probably identified your issue. The metal scissor arms will occasional bind and the blind won't come down. Have someone push the button and pull the shade forward a little to free the arm. You might have to bend the arms a little to keep them from binding.

Thanks for the suggestions. I pushed the button and pulled the shade down by hand at the same time. Did this a couple of times. Pushed it up as well and now the shade seems to work well.

Who knows!
