2008 Monaco Camelot 42PDQ Rock And Rolling While Leveled

We have only air for leveling in our coach. When you walk around in it or even roll over in bed my DP says the coach rocks side to side. That's when leveled using the air bags.

Thoughts from members on using trailer leveling jacks to stabilize it? And where to put them? Under the frame? And will it make a difference?

Our 07,42' Camelot with air only leveling is solid as a rock -- Do you dump the air then level ? If you do that will cause your problem -- Bill Willard

I don`t either, but you can lower the coach by letting air from the bags -- Bill Willard

Ours rocks also. I don't dump, but may try that next stop.
Often wish we had hydraulic jacks.

How do you let air out without a dump valve?

I have both systems on my coach and for the 4 years I've owned it I've only used the hydraulic jacks once. That was when we first got it. I use the air all the time and don't notice any excess movement when we move about in the coach. I park, hit auto on the pad and let the air do its thing. Getting ready to snowbird now and thought if I winter somewhere I might use the hydraulic jacks for a long term stay.

I also have air only leveling and love it. The rocking is noticeable but it doesn't bother us. As for using trailer jacks, they would have to be pretty beefy and in my opinion, would be more hassle than it's worth...but if you stay in one place for extended periods, it might be worth it to you.

That worked! I started the coach...let the air build up. Then hit manual ...all corners ..lower. It let the air out. Then I hit auto level. It leveled it back out and now very very little rocking. But enough that I don't notice it without thinking about it.

I experienced similar yesterday. Dumped and leveled. Still somme motion, maybe not as much, hard to say. Wil try again next move

It does , indeed, seem to help dumping as much as possible prior to leveling. Tried it the last two stops and it helps!

I've always dumped first then leveled, not so much for the rocking but it gets the front step a little closer to the ground.
