2008 Monaco Monarch/info

Just got a gently used 2008 Monaco Monarch, Triton V10, found brake controller plug in under dash but cannot find CB coax or plug (lot of screws in dash to remove) and don't think I want to go there. Also any thoughts re: tow dolly (disc surge/electric brakes) regular or synthetic oil (wt. and how often) change and whatever anyone can suggest would be much appreciated. Thank you, kenny

Kenny-

We have the Holiday Rambler twin to your Monarch.

The CB coax and power connector is in the dash. Try looking to the right of the steering column for both. You might get better access by removing the Power Gear leveling system panel that's in front of the driver's right knee.

I had the dash completely apart for a month as I reworked the wiring in it, and placed the coax connector and power connector where it could be easily extracted. I did the same for all the other "unclaimed" plugs and connectors. This iRV2 post has a few photos that give you a glimpse of what's inside the dash. If you decide to tackle opening the dash, just send me a private message with your contact info and I can call you to discuss how to go about it.

We picked up our coach last December. I'm pleased with a lot of its features and its construction, although there are certain things about the latter that I just "have" to improve, such as the 12V wiring. Now, about the wet bay piping and arrangement...

Anyhow, welcome to the Monarch/Admiral club!
