Also check the wall next to the driver's seat. That is where mine is.

We are currently shopping for one of the following; a 41 HR Endeavor SKQ OR PDQ (DW prefers the SKQ and I prefer the PDQ with the king bed). Also on my "short" list is the Tiffin Allegro Bus 40 QRP (same layout as the SKQ). Now, my current coach (2005 38' Ambassador) has a CCC of over 4000 pounds but the low CCC's being discussed here have really put me off a bit. Does anyone know if the PDQ has a higher CCC than the SKQ? And what about the Tiffin with the Spartan chassis?

On the same subject, when I attempted to place a custom order for an '09 from the factory...I was told by my dealer that the factory rep has informed him that all new SKQ Endeavor 41's will now be 42's with a tag axle (for a premium, of course). Maybe the factory is also concerned about the low CCC's on the 09's or maybe they just stretched the coach to accommodate a king bed.

A tag is bigger than my wallet and bigger than I want, but this has raised some serious questions in my mind.

Sorry can't help specifically w/ a 2009 Dip. But hopefully I can provide you some context to consider. I have a 2008 Knight 38 PDQ w/ a CCC 3051. It's very simmilar to a Diplomat 41 PDQ. While my model 38 actually measures 39' 6" it does show that the WB of 237" is 18" less than a Model 41 which is 261". I could easily envision the extra 18" consuming 1500 lbs or perhaps more w/ the extras that a Dip includes over a Knight. I would further caution that the front kitchen SKQ might put the front axel very close to capacity before adding groceries to eh fridge and cabinets. As others have stated before I would encourage you to find a sample of the model you are interested and personally have it weighed. It's too big of investment not to. You may then have to choose between shorter say 36-38' or the tag at 42'. We choose shorter and a model down for budget reasons, but in hindsight it seems to have worked out quite well for us as I don't notice the missing 18". When we upgrade it will most definately be a tag, but for the weekend use we are set for a longtime into the forseable future.
