We purchased the 2016 Diplomat 43 DFT January of this year. We looked at a lot of coaches and found that the Diplomat had the biggest bang for the buck. Our coach has the L shape sofa on one side and a large sofa with Queen pull-out bed on the opposite side, and a dinette booth. We have the darker wood with off white furniture.. the build quality is very good. We have had only a few minor issues, including a malfunctioning dimmer switch for the dash lights which was replaced by the Rev group in Alvarado Texas. The steering tag axle is excellent with a very good turning radius. On the way to Arizona we made a wrong exit turn and had to make a tight turnaround with a toad in place and amazingly we did it without any problems. Having tag axles also excellent while driving on the interstate with high winds. When we first bought it, we did use it with winter type weather. The Fireplace gives out a descent amount of heat the heated floors are wonderful with 2 separate zones and the Aqua Hot system made it more than toasty. We are very happy with the interior finishes as the windows have wood valances and minimal fabric that complements well unlike many coaches.
So far it has been a solid machine and we are happy with the purchase and would purchase this again. We just finished a long cross-country trip and will now live in this coach for the next 6 months while our home is being built.
My main complaint is the entry door. It does not seal as much as it should. They have changed it for the late 2016 and 2017 models. You can tell if the door is circular at the top then it is the new design

Do you pics of the entry stair area. I was thinking of re-designing my entry and add LED lights in the stair treads. Seen this on a few Marathon, mountain Aire coaches.

Front and rear AC units very quiet... the midship one is louder hum when compressor is running. Do not know if is bad unit or just location where noise transmits through the half bath walls.... but they work very well... we were recently in 116 degree Arizona weather and very comfortable inside

It depends on how many units you have on and where you are in the coach. Even with them all on you can hear the the air blowing out the vents, but I don't consider it too loud or a problem at all.

I actually like the constant sound of the fans... so much so we turn the bedrrom ac on fan to keep it on and not cycling...

drowns out any 'surprise' sounds from outside and lets us sleep
