3 cameras

My 2 side cameras at night light up like it's day time when making a turn Yet the camera in the rear stays dark till headlights appear but never seems to be bright!!!! Any guessing as to why it does this???? I would have thought it should have the same abilities

Thanks
Steve

Sounds like your camera is not working correctly. Those cameras have usually a couple of led lights to "light" the view. Sounds like yours are not working. Sorry do not know all the specifics, maybe someone here will. Also, check to make sure the screen on the camera is clear. Mine gets really nasty when driving in rain.

Steve, our '06 Dynasty acts similarly. None of our cameras have any LED's, IR or otherwise, so at night the view out the back is very black, if there isn't anything back there to provide image illumination. Lacking external light, the side cameras really don't do any better.

Try turning on your DOCK LIGHTS, and see if you get an image on the rear camera. If yours is like ours, it uses the coach BACK-UP LIGHTS for the docking function, so they put a lot of light on the ground, back there. That way, you can confirm that the camera is working.

Also, I would guess that whenever you are making a turn, you are most often probably in an area lit by at least some kind of street or area lighting. It doesn't take much for those cameras to show an image, but it does take some light.

Give it a try, and see if you are actually ok, after all. Good luck.
