32" Trico Wiper Blades
I ended up buying the Trico 67-321 32" wiper blades on Amazon for around $33 bucks a piece because I couldn't find just the refills. Then what should have taken about 20 minutes to install took about 2 hours just to get the old ones off and now will have to fabricate some new sleeves and find some new screws and nuts because the old ones were rusted solid to the sleeves and were destroyed by the time I got the little bolts out.
Knowing I will have to change the wiper blades again in the future does anyone know if you can just get the refills and if so where. Close to $70 for complete wiper blades every time they need replacing seems a bit much.
Thx

I, & many others have switched to 28inch blades - I changed about 4 years ago, & can`t tell any difference -- I think they were 2 for $8.00 @ Costco - This is on a 07 Camelot -- Bill Willard

I bought shorter blades at Walmart, can't tell the difference. In fact the longer blades had a tendency to lift up off the windshield in higher winds, the shorter don't do that.

Can someone tell me what the Trico number is for the 28" blade so I can then just buy the refills in the future?
Thx

What Bill said! I had to shave some off of the sides of the new blades but beta the $49 each I paid a year ago!

Rain-X wipers
Seems most retailers have gone to selling only the full wiper, no refills. I checked every retailer in town and not one has refills any more. Wonder which genius dreamed this one up? Guess they like the $60 sale rather than $10 or less!! I did splurge for the rain-x blades tho, and they are Great!

I bet the people that sell printers and shaving-razors are the same ones that are now going to the refill-less wiper-blade systems. Crazy that ink-cartridges and razor-blades sometimes cost more than what they are used on I just bought a nice inexpensive color laser-printer (Samsung C460) for less than the price of the 4 ink refills I needed for my old ink-printer!
The wiper-blades will still crack and wear out eventually, but I remove my blades when we are parked for any duration of time. Also switched to the 28" ones as well.
(every little bit counts)

Well looks like next wiper change I'm going to 28" blades. Guess I can't complain to much as the first set lasted me 7 years.

When I switched to 28" wiper blades I had to look real close to the connections as not all 'J' hooks are the same size. I think that I paid about $15.00 each for the 28" blades.
As others have said I see very little difference in the area that the 28" wipers clean compared to the 32" ones.

Mine are not the J Hook they have a small bolt that goes thru the wiper blade so hopefully that doesn't make my quest more difficult.

I just took a sharp knife and carved off the excess plastic on the side. It will be evident when you see it.

Costc runs these on sale periodically. Buy the one on the left. The other won't work.
You will have to remove some plastic to make it work.
With the plastic removed the saddle will fit all the down.
When wiper rubber gets old, you can use the insert out of either part number to refill yours without going through whole modification procedure again.

Oops! You will have to drill out the existing rivet in the new one making the hole the same size as in the old wiper. There is a brass sleeve on the old one you will want to transfer to the new one.
