E-Mike, Did you test your batteries and find a bad one that was causing the problem?
If so was it only one?

Well I ended up buying 8 original U2200. I could not justify to myself paying a hundred dollars more per battery for the U2400.Even the retailer I bought from was surprised by the price difference. Thanks for everyones input.

Old thread, I know..

Anyways, the u2200 can be had for $159 here;

Interstate U2200 Replacement Battery by US Battery - Interstate Batteries - Deep Cycle Batteries

The u2400 is only $40 more...

However, Interstate has an 'improved' version, the GC2-XHD, that can be had for the same price (or less) as the U2200... Still 232Ah, but can handle more cycles.

Regarding using the 2400 instead of the 2200... IF IT FITS.. then so long as you replace them in pairs, no problem.. IF IT FITS

just remember, each pair of six volt batteries (in series) = one 12 volt battery.

So you can replace 2,4,6 or 8 but if you replace less than all of them make sure you replace a matched pair, not one in each of 2 pair.

Home is where I park it!
