6 way power seat motor

Anyone ever remove and replace these six way power seat motor? My middle motor (forward sand backward adjustment) on the passenger seat must have dried out grease. Looks like Villa Seats took the Norco Adnik 6 way seat base (background) and welded additional hinged points (foreground) onto the Adnik? Must be anti seat launch hardware??? What is the additional metal for??

Update
I have villa seats.
I got a new Adnik seat base with a new motor attached to it. Couldn't find just the motor.
Determined my seat transmission was probably bad. Found out the added metal on the 2001 Adnik seat base was likely to reinforce the seat when the shoulder harness anchor point was moved from the wall to the seat back.
I tried to take the old motor brush head off. Brushes fell out. Tried to reinstall brush head on old motor. Crushed brushes killed old motor.

Tried to swap motor and transmission from new seat to the old seat base (the old one has the added metal bracing). I couldn't get the center transmission rod off the old base. I even removed the retaining clip on the end opposite the motor but couldn't get the center rod out.
Decided to try new motors on old transmission to confirm it was the transmission and not the motor.

Did this by Duck taping new motor brush heads to motor cover on the new seat base and removed brush head on new motor. This way the brushes stay in the proper place.
Put new motors on old seat base transmission. Same problem. It doesn't go front to back unless I push on the seat to help it. That means the old transmission is stuck. Probably petrified grease.

I'm in Goshen now and I am going to take the old and new seat base to villa to see if they can help me swap the transmissions. Going there next week.

What's the outcome? Any solution yet?

I was reminded of this thread this morning, when I tried to move the driver seat. Nothing. It was getting worse, but today was the finale. I could feel something underneath trying to move, but it was definitely bound-up.

Got out the WD40, white lithium grease and a few rags and dove in - expecting to find the same as you did. What i saw was what looked like flash-rust everywhere. The shafts were almost a ruddy-brown instead of the shiny metal color. Soaked the shafts and hinge-points and fortunately, slow-and-easy did it - the threaded shafts started to loosen up after 20-30 minutes. Will this be permanent? I'm not usually that lucky, but time will tell.

I'm sure that if I had continue to force the issue, I'd be looking at new transmissions and/or motors too.

How'd you learn the mfgr? I can't find anything.

Hope yours works out!

While I was under the seats (and our dog thought I needed to play, and kept bringing me her toys), I wrote down the numbers for my seat motors. Dunno if yours is the same, but it might help someone else as well.

Horizontal
GEN II B
8-81900
5709420
J1 4176

Vertical
GEN II B
8-81902 E

Just to get an idea of prices, I looked on eBay for the motors. Seems someone just bought one a couple days ago... was that you, Jeff?

Not me. I bought one from villa. I'll update the outcome next week. I've been at FMCA Glamarama in Goshen this week. This 4H fairgrounds is awesome with all the flowers and stuff the clubs plant around their barns.

Wondering if you replaced the motors in yours yet? Mine are the same numbers and one is for sure cracked and the other clicks but still turns. Also how much were they from Villa?

I got a whole base from villa which includes the motors. I had tried to swap the motor heads (tape the heads do the brushes don't dislodge). It still would not drive the transmission (gears were stuck).
Just yesterday I finished taking the old seat back out and taking the old base and new base to my welder. He cut the extra steel braces off the old and welded them to the new base. Put it back in and scratched it if the list.

You might be able to soak the transmission in something. Mine was pretty well stuck. I also replaced the foot rest screw/transmission which was clicking).
