My first problem with this generator with over 1850 hours. I started it as I normally would do and the priming light did not come on. It was hard starting and had to be restarted several times before it ran on its own. Once it ran it continued for about 1 hour before shutting down while under load of 2 AC units running to keep the coach cool. Then in trying to restart the generator the hard starting problem was again present, what needs to be done to eliminate this Onan 7500 Diesel generator problem?

I don't have my Onan manual handy so I can only tell you that it is blink codes displayed with the light on the start/stop switch. Try a google search to give you specific directions.

Bentley, Look at this file and see if ti looks like yours, it maybe a little different. Read it over and you will have a better idea of the generators operation.

Well I broke down and took the Motor home to the Onan dealer and had it serviced. The code that came up was somewhat generic 36. They said it might have been bad fuel or something. Now it is totally serviced and runs great.

If it acts up again, look for a loose fuel hose clamp on the tank. It could be sucking air when your fuel tank is not full or parked unlevel. Under full load the generator is sucking harder than normal and can get air in the line. It took me quite a while to chase that weird one down.

Glad you are back in operation. Mine performed almost exactly as you described and I eventually found a clogged fuel line. Looked for air leaks for days and finally found the opposite problem.
