8.3 Fuel Leak-Hoses Near Engine Fuel Filter

My '95 Monaco Cummins 8.3 has a fuel leak, probably from a rubber hose. The area of the leak is under a mounting plate for the throttle linkage(just outboard of the engine mounted fuel filter)and is almost impossible to see or get to. The leak is not exactly over the exhaust, but close. Removing the mounting plate looks easy enough but I would be disassembling parts of the throttle linkage (unfamiliar territory for me). I hate to take it to Cummins for what appears to be a real simple rubber hose replacement and was wondering if anyone has dealt with this issue. Thanks for the help.

Try a mirror and flashlight to help locate the leak?

Don,

I had the same issue with a 97 Monaco Windsor. I was able to use a small flashlight and stubby screw driver to remove the hose. It's tight, but with the engine compartment cooled down I was able to squeeze my hand in there. It had a heat/stress crack right where it attaches. I shortened the hose about 2" and reinstalled it.
I need to go back and replace the length of hose that runs through the engine compartment with new quality hose.
