95 Windsor HVAC blend doors

The AC/heat blend doors on my coach do not change position when going from AC to Floor to Defroster. Where to I start? Nothing is visible. Is this system vacuum or electric or something new and improved? Hoping for information on a place to start. Thanks

The dash A/C is vacuum controlled , however the diesel engine doesn't
generate vacuum so Monaco used a couple of different devices to gen
vacuum .
Early coaches ,maybe yours , used a air thru a ventura to gen vacuum .
This would be a black box on the firewall with an air hose going in and
a vacuum hose coming out .
More recently they use a small 12volt ford pump .
There should be some small vacuum hoses coming from the A/C going to
a plastic ball , this is a reservoir .
Usually one of the small hoses has come loose or split .
The default is the system goes to defrost when you lose vacuum .

Hello all,
The blend door on my Knight is electrically operated and has a servo type motor. I removed mine and repaired it. I am super cheap that way... A big plastic gear inside cracked, causing it to slip on the shaft it was supposed to drive. There is another door that is operated by vacuum its the one that allows outside/inside air.

Thanks for the responses. I have not had a chance to get under front of coach because have been parked on gravel and I am chasing a fuel leak that gets priority. I hope to get under and look and start diagnosing in a few days. I will post with what I find.

Finally was able to get under front of coach and look for vacuum lines. Found a connection that was apart, put that back together. Today was first drive and I am happy to say blend doors are working again. Thanks for the help.

Installing electric Pump

Hi all,
I have the same problem with mine. Got a new ford type electric vac pump. Can't figure out how to install? Original had air line going to it - new doesn't?
Do I block off the air line? What are the installing procedures? Anyone done this?
Thanks!
Bernie

I had to do that with my Gulfstream. I do not remember the brand of replacement vacuum pump. But it must have some kind of way for a vacuum connection. What is the part number of your replacement vacuum pump? Or pictures.

I haven't actually done it myself but from other posts all you need to do is .

Mount it on the fire wall

Supply 12v , should turn on & off with
ignition sw .

Attache the tiny vacuum hose

Plug up the old air supply

You should then be good to go

Failing Vacuum Pump

Can you describe the symptoms you experienced when the vacuum pump failed. I believe that is the problem with mine--blows air out the vacuum line. Thanks!
