Visone rv salvage has my part, $100.00 plus shipping, for a 1/2 inch bolt? I think I'll improvise. Thanks for all the ideas......Bruce

Seems like a good choice.

I believe the process outlined above by Mhcorrigan will absolutely work .

This reminds me of many yrs ago we had a H Rambler gas moho and
while on vacation the air cond quit .
When looking under the engine cover I spotted the compressor adjuster
was not working
An ear was broken off of the compressor that the adjuster used .
After studying the problem I did some measuring then ran down to a
nearby hardware store where I bought a turnbuckle and bolts & nuts .
The turn buckle was long enough to reach another ear on the comp .
I meant it as a temporary repair till we got home but it worked and lasted
till I sold it , may be working still .

Success, with the help of my trusty dremel tool and a cut off blade, I cut about 1/16" of the bottom of the eye fitting, right where it was peened over holding the bolt in. The bolt slid right out. The other half of the bolt was actually long enough for me to use. The bolt slides into the fitting about one inch and seems to working fine.....Bruce
