I posted my displeasure with GS EW a couple of weeks ago...I had a fluid leak that was diagnosed locally as being a failed hyd. pump and line...estimate was $1700+...GS EW didn't cover any of it because it was leaking seals/gaskets, and my coach is an 01....cancelled GS EW. ANYWAY, took it to a diesel specialist in Phoenix (2 hours away), and they told me today, it was leaking gaskets, and NOT a failed pump, and they are replacing the gaskets...phew....guess the 2 hour ride to Phoenix and someone who actually knows what they are doing was well worth it!!!

Bruce

Ain't those extended warranties wonderful.
If there were just someone who we could complain to, maybe they would not be so bad.

On our first Motor home,we had a gasket go bad and it leaked water in under the A/C (We took out the warranty), on our claim we were told it was a seal not a gasket ( the one that goes under the Air conditioner) even though it said gasket on the package and the repairman said it was a gasket. But the guy who had my claim said he had the final say-so and would not pay it because he said it was a seal. His so-called supervisor also said it was a seal and therefore not covered. Thats the last EW I bought. Although I did have the pleasure telling the salesmen on our last two motor homes NO WAY! Good to hear your problem turn out okay s/Toby

Thanks Toby...I have to take ownership for missing the small print part that specified leaking seals or gaskets negated the coverage...however, it's not like most responders on various RV forums didn't warn me aboutinvesting in an EW. I guess this is one more lesson I have learned the hard way!!!

Bruce...
Glad to hear that everything turned out well! I am sure you now feel that you will always get a second opinion if it is something you have to pay for!!
