I have a 2006 Diplomat. Last summer while coming home from Alaska our ABS light would stay on telling me something was wrong with the system. After consultation with the garage replacing our radiator (that's a story for another time over many beers) we opted to drive home knowing the ABS system was not working, but nothing would be damaged. Once home I found the EC60 Bendix ECU under the transmission shift keypad inside the coach left of the driver seat. My coach does not have the ABS test module in the roadside front compartment. Instead to troubleshoot you pull pin 18 from the X1 harness (ABS dash light) to ground. Doing this I found an open sensor on my rear left duals. I confirmed this by disconnecting at the connector back by the wheel. So I do have an open sensor. My problem is I don't have the equipment to pull the wheel to see the sensor and I would like to order the sensor prior to taking my coach to my mechanic. Does anyone know if I have a straight WS24 or a 90 degree WS 24. Looks like both can work with the EC 60; difference is mounting in the wheel. Sorry I got long winded. Maybe my troubleshooting can help someone else

Who is the chassis mfgr? In my Spartan chassis, the sensors are inserted from underneath, not by removing the wheel. The tone ring requires removing the wheel.
Turned out I didn't have a bad part after all. A mechanic said to use a high-pressure washer on the backing-plate area to remove dirt and grime from the tone ring. After that to check the clearance between sensor and tone ring.
Just using the pressure washer cleaned things and made the ABS system work again.

Welcome to the forum.

Follow the wire from the wheel back over to the top of the rear end. If you look closely you may find a connector. Take it apart and use an ohmeter to compare it to the other side. If they are close, clean the connectors well and recover them.

I did find that connector and did confirm that the sensor shows open. Bendix manual says it should show resistance if working correctly, thus the reason for my question. Do you know if the sensor is a straight or right angle? I don't have the equipment to pull the wheel and my owners manual says the sensor is buried in the wheel and you have to remove to see it.

The 2006 Diplomat is built on a Roadmaster RR8R chassis.

Sorry Doug, I do not know. The front ones are removable without taking the wheels off, I know the rears need to have the wheels removed.

No worries. I don't have the gear to pull the wheel to confirm the sensor type. I hope someone on this site might know. My bet is it is a straight with the cable coming straight out the back, and not at a right angle.

Buy one of each locally and return the unneeded one when you finish the job. I suspect any HDT=heavy duty truck parts store has them in stock.
Motor Home chassis mfgrs. do not use small parts made to their design, they use off-the-shelf items made for HDT's or bus's. To do otherwise would have a dramatic effect on production cost.
The problem might be part number matching from MH to HDT.
