AC Cutoff Relay

Can anyone tell me where the AC cutoff Relay is. The relay I'm asking about is the one that cuts off AC to the front TV and receptacles when the generator is running and the ignition switch is turned on. I have some schematics but I can find no wiring in the AC circuit.

Most are in or the area of the TV outlet.

Thanks Drifter.

I was hoping I didn't have to take the TV out disable it.

I was surprised that the cutoff relly disables my front AC power plug which is not related to the TV.

On my 06 Endeavor there is a fuse in the front run box that supplies 12 volt to the relay. If you pull the fuse the relay will not pickup when you turn on the ignition and 120 AC will remain at the TV receptacle. Remember it is illegal in most states to have a TV in view of the driver while in motion.

itdave,

Thanks for the info about the fuse. Do you remember how it was labled??

My problem is that it disables my floor plug on the passenger side in addition to the TV. I have no plans for running the TV while driving. My SAT is not an in motion device. Have to be stationary.

itdave,

Think I found it. It is in be bedroom fuse panel labled 'TV Cutout Relay" according to the schematic.

May give it a try tomorrow.

Thanks again.

That's really strange...........when I'm driving with the generator running, I still have power to the passenger receptable, just no TV power. Let us know what you find. Good luck, happy trails & travel safe.

That is strange because the problem is more than I thought.

With shore power plugged in I have power to all receptacles including TV. If I turn the ignition on the TV goes off but I still have power to the receptacles.

Removing shore power. When generator is on I do not have power to the all the front receptacles regardless of the ignition.

I think old age is driving me crazy. So I guess I will be trouble shooting this all day.

Did you check the breakers on the generator and inverter. Also you may want to look for a GFI that need to be reset

itdave,

Thanks for helping.

When I hooked shore power back up I had no power to the front station? By this time I was pulling my hair out since I did the last time I had shore power connected.

I decided to start taking readings at the transfer switch. All was well for both shore and gen pwr.

Then I went to the bedroom AC/DC panel. I removed the cover from the AC CBs to check voltages. In the process a handwritten note falls out of the panel that stated to check the groundfault plug in the bathroom. Did not give a symptom but I guess the previous owner had the same problem and wanted to make sure future owners would not.

So I reset the groundfault and power was restored to the front station including all receptacles.

I can't fully understand why I had power to the front with shore power. the groundfault must have let power through some how....intermittant maybe. DW did have some junk around the receptacle.

When got back to normal I pulled the fuse(it was in the front) and the TV stayed on when turning on the ign. I put the fuse back since all I wanted was my power to the receptacles restored.

Thanks again for your help.

Tom
