AC Gasket

Monaco has the drain line in the roof.
There is a crossover line to both sides of the AC unit.

When replacing the gasket, do you need to cut out a
bit of the foam so it will seal around the hose, or
is the gasket left whole.

Obviously I do not want a leak.

Roof gasket is left whole........no modifying

Do not overtighten hold down bolts. Only tighten hand 'snug'..........that is 40 INCH pounds (NOT--FOOT pounds) if you have an INCH Pound torque wrench

Gasket should be compressed about 1/2 of it's original thickness

Those gaskets very seldom go bad, I was told by the mfg to loosen up on the hold down bolts for 3 or4 hrs to relax the gasket then tighten to 38 to 40 INCH lb, I also put a dab of loctite on hold down bolts as they will vibrate loose and cause a leak.
