AC Issue

My ac runs fine on shore power, but will not run on the generator.
I have 2005 Monaco Monarc SE. Any info would be helpful.

Do you get any power from the generator ? If not , it could be the breaker on the unit itself.

Yes, as Cliff, mentioned ... check the Breaker(s) on the genset (near the hour meter). Next item is the Transfer Switch.

Like everyone else said, check other 110 services (like microwave) while on generator. If you have none, there is a breaker on the generator usually on the side of the switch panel that is probably tripped. It won't stop the generator from running, but it will stop it from delivering power.

If your transfer switch is defective you will not have any ac power on the coach with the generator running. Check the volt gauge on your panel with the generator running and if it reads zero after resetting the breaker on the generator, you have a bad transfer switch.

This test won't work if your microwave (like most) is on the inverter and the inverter is powering it.

Does the power monitor panel show it is on generator?
