On my LCD controller (mounted on the wall), zone 1 is the bedroom / bath area and zone 2 is everything else. At the controller, when I turn on zone 1, I make my adjustment and then walk off, thinking the unit will come on within a minute or so, but when I go back to the controller, zone one is blank and the a/c never came on. I can change to zone two and everything works, but cannot get zone 1's display to respond again. The system worked perfect a weeks ago. Does anyone have a suggestion on how I can trouble shoot where the problem is or should I take her in for repair?

Thank you,

Last summer my front a/c quit. During a lot of trouble shooting I started the gen and the front air worked. Then I switched to the 30 amp plug at the park and it worked. Determined the 50 amp circuit breaker droped one leg. Hooked up to different 50 amp outlet and all was well.

Last week my rear a/c quit. Breaker inside coach was tripped. Turned it back on but still no rear air. Tried the gen and 30 amp thing again but no luck. Replaced the 20 amp breaker in the coach and all is well again.

Suggest you try these items.

That happened to me last summer, there is a reset sequence that you may have to go through with the controller. I don't know it off the top of my head, but it should be in the manual. It fixed our similar problem. (gremlins). good luck!!

Update: I'm getting the same result on generator and shore power, but I checked the shore power 50 amp service at my pole and the voltage is good on both legs. I also pulled the filter cover and removed a metal plate and checked the DC fuse and it was good. I guess the next step is to move into the fuse box in the bed room and take a reading at the breaker or should I try to measure the current up in the A/C itself?

I also reviewed the manual and it didn't have a reset sequence.

Thanks again for everyone's help!

Try and reset the thermostat first before you do anything.

1. Turn the thermostat power off using the switch on the bottom
2. Push in both the MODE and ZONE buttons at the same time and hold them in
3. While holding the two buttons in turn the power switch back on
4. Count to two and let go of the two buttons.

gprince.....try unplugging the telephone line from inside the filter area of the A/C unit, wait about 30 seconds and reconnect. Sometimes this will reset them. There is also a reset procedure for the thermostat, you'll have to do a search for that.

I guessing you have the four button Comfort Control Center since your coach is a 1999 so here is a link to the Service and Diagnostic Manual.

Mike C ...I think that you are the only member here that thinks Diplomat Don is behind you - pretty much everyone I have contact here on the forum will take what Diplomat Don says to the bank and feel like they come out ahead.
FYI... many of us have a coach that only has a 4 button switch...and I think you provided instructions for a 5-button...

UPDATE: ITS WORKING AGAIN!!!! A big thanks to everyone that helped me trouble shoot this problem. You save me a service call plus a week at the repair shopr waiting on someone to service the unit! The following procedure did the trick:

*** RESET PROCEDURE ***
If the Comfort Control Center is not operational, inadequate data or no functions occur, reset the Comfort Control Center to factory setting. When a reset procedure is done, all previous program memory is removed. The factory setting of 72°F for cooling mode and 68°F for heating modes are entered. To initiate a RESET, do the following in the order listed:

1) Turn control on to ensure annunciator data and light are present. If data and light are present, continue to next step. If data and light are not present, see Sec. 5.1.
2) Depress MODE switch to activate annunciator light.
3) Simultaneously depress the bottom two buttons (temperature UP and DOWN) and hold.
4) While holding these buttons down, depress the MODE button once and release.
5) Release the two buttons previously held down.
6) Depress the MODE button once again.
7) At this time the light should extinguish, and the mode should register "OFF". If not, repeat Steps 2 through 6.
8) Retest system ensuring that all functions are present and operational.
