Any decent RV dealership should carry this product. I used it on our Bluebird and was not impressed. Beaudry's in TRucson had it in stock. There are a lot of better sealants. I prefer the polyurethane type. Where are you going to use this product?

I bought Acryl-R off Monaco since this is what they recommended. Just over $15 per tube -

Have since purchased another brand from one of the forum sponsors and found this to be very suitable for all your repair needs. Around half price of what Monaco is charging.

Dicor sealant

I have also seen this product used by professional tv ariel installers, so it can't be all bad I would have thought.

I need to reseal around my roof vents. The sealant is very plyable but starting to crack. The current sealant is about 4" wide. The dicor stuff I saw said it was good for up to a 3/8 bead. I was thinking of redoing it like it originally was done. Am I wrong in doing it this way? Any advice would be appreciated.

HPH....I use the Dicor clear and just float it over anything that looks like it's cracking. Plus it lets the color show through when you get near the edges of the roof where the sidewall paint wraps around.

Don,
Monaco ought to bring you on as an adviser. Good tip about the clear Dicor. Monaco used white sealant on the roof seams and some can be seen from the ground. Excellent attention to detail on their part

Don - having replaced several places where the hard sealant tends to crack, I have noticed that in quite a few spots, the hard sealant that will show a few cracks on the surface is in fact not sticking well or at all to the fibreglass. As I recall SacTs did shown a very good example of this in a thread recently.

I would therefore strongly suggest that a very thorough inspection of the hard sealant is made before covering the surface with anything.

In my view the best solution is once and for all to remove the hard type sealant completely and then reseal with a suitable and flexible product. It is hard work and takes some "elbow-grease" but it can be done I can tell you from experience.

Once you use Eternabond roof sealing tape you'll never go back. It's easy to install and last a lifetime and a perfect solution to your problem. Do a Eternabond search for a recent thread on this same subject.

Having used Eternabond roof tape I will have to agree that it is easy to use and appear to be quite tough.

However - it can not be used everywhere. An example: Wire clamps from the TV aerial wires that need to be screw fixed through the roof can not be covered with Eternabond. This will require some sort of mastic sealant.

I will definitely use Eternabond where possible when replacing all the original seals.

I would suggest using dicor self-leveling roof sealant... acryl-r is better for sealing windows and such on the sides of your coach and dicor typically makes the best roof sealants...both should be readily available at any RV repair center...
