We are most likely getting Roadmaster tow assembly with an added Roadmaster air compresser to activate the brake for the CRV toad.
Question: could I add air bag suspension using the Roadmaster compressor to power the airbags?

On a diesel pusher possibly, on a Monarch gas coach most likely not.

I'm asking about the air compressor that is being added to the gas motor home to activate the toad's brakes.

If they add a air tank that is sized for both and the compressor can maintain the predetermined volume of air necessary than most anything is possible. But could be costly. When we had our 06 Monarch we used a Ready-Brake System and a Nightshift auto tow bar for towing. The suspension upgrade that helped the most was a rear track Bar.

Why are you going to the expense of a brake system that requires compressed air?? THere is a lot more to an air ride system that just bags and a compressor. If you want air ride you will have to buy a DP.

Mike,
What's a Ready Brake system? How did it work? I only started wondering about possibility of "air suspension" when RV place suggested Roadmaster towing and Roadmaster air controlled toad braking system. Total installed price $3400 for tow plate, tow bar, toad break system and all cables and labor.

thanks in advance for info.

Steve, The ReadyBrake system, ReadyBrute tow bar and the Demco baseplate for a Jeep Wrangler only cost about 1200. in 2007 so I would say it could be a little more now, but not as much as the Roadmaster system.
We bought it for our Monarch and it worked perfect. Very easy to install and easy to adjust. I noticed that they now have listed dealers but I know that you can order direct. Look at the website and do a search here on the forum for others that have them.

Steve, I have an 08 Monarch and use the Roadmaster Even Brake, Falcon All-Terrain Tow Bar and base plates. I tow a 2005 CRV. The Even Brake is a self contained unit with an air compressor inside, used for supplying air to apply pressure on the brake pedal.
I'm not sure if that what your dealer was referring to? I bought the Even Brake at Camping World for $1000, with free installation in 2008. I purchased the balance of the gear from E-Trailer and installed it myself. The tow bar, baseplates, cable kit, and wiring kit came to about $1400. Your installed price does not sound too bad, but sure of exactly what hardware and services the dealer is providing.

Keith,
I guess I misunderstood dealer when he mentioned a compressor. Thought it was to installed on MH. Now I see that the compressor is part of the box holding the Ready Brake. Thus ending my thoughts of adding air bags to MH.

The $3400 quote from dealer included all parts and labor.
Thanks again for your expiation.
