I have finished the flat panel in the bay mod and would love to post a few pics of the completed project, but need to know how I can add some pictures to the post. My "permissions" say that I am not allowed to do that and I don't remember being THAT bad in the past, so maybe I need to ask "pretty please" or sumthin. Any help would be greatly appreciated since I'm anxious to show the fruits of my labor.

GoodMorning MtRoamer!
You have not been bad on your posts (so far ) but you do need to register for a photo album.

You will see this - <BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content"> RV Photo Gallery
*** Please Note, the photo gallery is a separate registration from the forums. Once registered, you will be able to access the campground reviews and classifieds with this same registration.
</div></BLOCKQUOTE>
on the photo page. First register for the photo page. It will then let you in to to add your photos. Once you add your photos to your album - it will then go in for approval by one of the moderators. (They have added more mods onto the photo section so they do get approved a lot faser than they used to)

If you find you have problems posting once you have your album ...then come back & I can tell you had to correctly add photos!

Good Luck!

Thanks for the info M M. I have registered and am good to go except that all my pics are too large and my computer with my photo editing software is down so I can't resize the pics to the required size for posting. I guess I can add another project to the growing list.

You can find Image Resizer for free from Microsoft at that link ...It is a little more than half way down the page on the right...
We can't wait to see the pics!
(I bet if you get them uploaded tonight that you will see them tomorrow!

Thanks again M M. I did download the resizer software and shrank the photos. I then went into "My Photo's" and created an album named "Bay TV Mod". The pics are awaiting approval now. So how do I get the pics from the album into a post I create describing the install? Sorry to be a pest, just new to the board and wanting to learn the ropes.

You have to wait until after the pictures have been approved.Follow these steps for each picture you want to post after approval-
1. Go to the album and bring up the pic. (Make sure it is full size on the screen - do NOT use the thumbnail!)
2. Right click on photo
3. Go down to "Properties" & click on Properties- It is at the bottom of the window that was brought up when you right-clicked.
4.When the properties window comes up you will see "Address/URL" with a long http line. You need to copy that complete line (usually it is 2 lines long -copy it all)
5.Go to where you are going to "Post a reply" Type your message - when you are where you want to insert the photo you will need to click the green square that is the second from the right above the box where you are typing.
6.You will then paste that "Address/URL" that you copied from the "photo properties" in the little white box that comes up when you clicked that green box. IMPORTANT-Make sure you click OKAY button when you have pasted the URL. It will then bring you back to your "posting box" When you are through click the "Post Now" button and you should have a photo showing!

(These are VERY detailed instructions pso don't freak when you start reading it ...it really is easy...you just have to do a few to get the hang of it!)

PS... If you do not know the "copy" and the "paste" shortcuts ...let me know in a PM... I will teach you that in a PM...it will help immensely to know those two items!
