If we're not using the coach at the time, I just make it a personal habit not to start up the engine unless I intend to drive it for a little while. Learned this habit from an old aircraft machanic who once told me, "Never start the plane unless you're going to fly". Same thing applies to any internal combustion engine.
In the winter I try to "exercise" the coach about once every 4-6 weeks anyway. I'll get it out and drive it down the highway for about 15 miles and back again. I think it's good for a lot of systems, not the least of which is the tires. (And it satisfies a winter itch in me.
