Air Leaks in Front

1999 HR Imperial Wonderful unit, but air leaks in front. In winter cold air seeps in enough to flicker a match around seams and of course drivers right foot seems worst. In summer of course the opposite when trying to cool cab area. I have looked everywhere, tried to seal. Have had no success at all. Anybody with same problem and have you fixed.

My 03 Windsor had the same issue .
What I found was outside with the gen out you can look inside and up
and there is a plywood panel .
This panel is in a horizontal plane and goes from one side to the other .
There is also a square steel tubing frame work that this plywood should
be attached to but mine was not attached .
This left a gap that ran side to side that was 1/2 inch in places allowing
lots of air inside .
I have stuffed round foam from Lowes or Home Depot in there for now .
The dash wires etc are on top of the plywood so be careful with screws .
When its dark you can get someone with a bright flashlight to shine it
around under the dash you may be able to see the openings from outside .

My 98 dynasty had the same problem and I removed the dash and the top cover and bolted the plywood back down. On my RV they had used two 10-32
ready rods to bolt it down and they came loose and the nuts were gone and one of the ready rods. I a long 10\32 screw and some nuts and bolted it back down
and used locktite so they won't come loose. Then I drilled 1\4 in holes near the
original screws and bolted it down with 1/4 bolts. I also screw it down with self
2 taping 10-32 screws where I could and made up 2 angle iron pieces and
bolted the top down as they didn't make the plywood long enough for me to
use more self starting screws. I use locktite for everything

There is already lots and lots of expanding foam, looks like original. LAst night wife on inside with very bright light, me in generator compartment, found many small holes. Marked and today used some foam and some rock guard spray to seal. Will look again tonight.
We drive from Trail,BC to Phoenix end of December, although not real cold gets pretty chilly across Nevada (high desert). I installed a curtain rod and heavy curtain behind seats couple years ago. Much smaller area to heat and cool.

Ciao

I put in a couple of heaters using engine heat in the rear of my coach and a small one
in the wet bay and it keeps the coach warm. I don't have to worry about water freezing.
