Your air bags have check valves, so theoretically, if you have no leaks, they should remain level indefinitely without the aid of the aux compressor.
The Powergear / Valid system has it's own small air tank. I 'believe', The HWH system has the aux compressor plumbed directly into the susspension air manifolds.
