Air pressure warning 'beeper' stays on

Crank it up, beeper goes off, pressure gets above 100, and up to 120 and climbing, and beeper is still on. Everything works normal, except for the beeper and the pressure seems to keep going up. I shut everything down at 120psi.

So, researching it I see several things that can be cked. Do a drain of the water in the system, do an air dryer filter change, bleed the air in the front and rear tanks, and then punt.

After doing the bleed, drain the water, and a filter change (desiccant filter and coalescing), and it still stays on, where do I look?

I dont think it is purging either.

Don't know why the alarm continues to chime, but if your pressure keeps climbing, and your dryer isn't purging (compressor unloading), I would be looking at the compressor governor.

Have you confirmed air pressure? Could be a faulty gauge. My dryer unloads at about 130#.

130 PSI is fine. My owners manual suggests 135 PSI!

Once you get to 150 PSI, tank safety valves should start opening to protect the system.

I have a 2000 HR on a Freightliner chassis so don’t know if this will help you but mine has two switches in the air system, underneath along the frame. One controls the “Low Air” light and the other controls the low air buzzer. I had to replace the buzzer switch a couple of years ago to get mine to hush.
