My manual reads: "If an excessive amount of water is present when performing the monthly air tank drain service, it may be an indication that the filter for the air dryer needs to be changed."

Well, I've never done this "monthly" .... but when I do take this action, I've never seen any sign of moisture (water vapor or dripping water). I know that's a good thing, but I'm wondering what you other owners have observed.

Well I never get any moisture out of my tanks either, and only check the every 3-4 months. I do however change the air dryer cartridge every two years.
