MH has been in storage for several months. Got it ready to travel and left on a trip this morning.....drove about 250 miles...stopped at a rest stop for lunch. Turned on the generator and air...an alarm sounded. It was coming from the roof, in the area of the front air conditione. r Went on for a minute or so....I shut the air off and the generator down....it kept sounding, then stopped. Tried again, and the alarm went off again....lasted a minute or so and then went off. I have never heard this alarm before.....I have owned this MH (several years). It was not the smoke alarm, and the carbon dioxide alarm is in the bedroom on our 2001 Dynasty....unless there is another carbon dioxide alarm in the roof????
Anyone have any ideas???? I did check the oil and coolant in the gennie...it was a little low on coolant, but the oil was fine.

Okay....I just found my propane alarm....I'm so dialed in, I didin't even know I had one....what a doof!! Could have been that, but it was 4 days ago I had the propane topped off and then I drove 250 miles today...hard to beleive their could have been lingering fumes....

Lingering fumes OR a leak but most probably the pressure relief valve. While driving the 250 miles the air flow kept the newly filled tank cool (er) and upon stopping, pressure increased beyond the regulated discharge point due to no cooling airflow. A/C and generator probably had nothing to do with it.

The propane pressure relief valve on our old Safari Zanzibar blew off once when we were stopped in Az for lunch in a pullout. Outside temp was about 120+. Genny and a/cs running. When the thing blew a huge dust cloud camu out from under the coach and I thought a bomb had gone off under us!! It was loud and short, a huge report. I went outside and smelled the propane, thanking my stars that the fridge was on electric and no flames were present. I found the plastic cap a few feet away and put it back on. It simply valved off again while we were moving.
