This is a trip no one should miss. The only problem so far is the stress fracture in the windshield, which Monaco said they would cover. The chassis suspension (8 airbags and 8 shocks) really helps smoothe out the roads. We're about 2/3 through the trip and plan to return via the Cassiar Hwy. Here is a short video (4:00) of the trip so far.

Hi! We are in the dream stage right now, just put our home in Lake Oswego, Oregon on the market two days ago and hoping for a wonderful buyer to come along SOON! My husband is checking out all the Monaco blogs and showed yours to me! I LOVE the music and your Alaska film - it brought tears to my eyes, a smile to my face and I said to my husband, "I can't wait to be on our way"! Thank you soooo much for sharing your adventures, you are a beautiful couple and you look sooooo happy! You did an amazing job on the movie - WOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!!

Happy trails to you!

The Schneiders

Flyer,
Wow, great video. Got me to thinking. Its not necessarily the destination but its the trip getting there that means so much. Not only the geographical distance covered but the trip together.

I agree...what a great video and trip!!!! While I have been to Alaska alot for business, and Gloria and I took a vacation there on our own one year, I can't wait to do it in the DIP!!
After we go cross country this year, I think that's next on our agenda.

Wow, wow and another wow!!!!

I want to go there now.

Unfortunately we can only travel during the winter time so we might have to wait a few years until work "goes out of fashion".

I am envious and I admit it

I think that video may have just changed our summer destination.

Glad you are enjoying the journey.

Flyer, I made that trip in 2006, are you ready to go back? If so let me know, I think the boss can easily be convinced of a replay! I LOVE it up there.

Flyer,

My wife and I would like to thank you for the wonderful video and giving us confidence to take the Diplomat to Alaska. We were planning to go with our truck camper and 4x4 truck but ended up trading the 5th wheel, the truck and the Lance in on a motorhome. I was not sure about taking the 40 footer up there but after seeing your video we are excited about the prospect. We also worried about our two dogs but yours seem to be enjoying the trip.

Thanks again,

Bob and Pam
