Albuguerque Balloon Festival Parking

We plan on attending In Sept Of 2011, Has anyone Camped there, Any suggestions?.

The VIP parking is just south and above the balloon field. Lot's of $$ to stay there. Across the street to the south is a large dirt field where the rest of us have parked.

If you plan on going you must reserve now (Google to find out where to reserve). All 3 times we've been there have been with the Holiday Ramblers RV Club at the HRRVC Region VIII rally. Had a tent, catered food, etc.. Absolutely fantastic. Tons of pictures of balloons. We did the dry camping bit since we're good for over a week with our own water. Came in with dry gray and black water tanks.

Also plan on lots of touring. If you are staying the entire week you should have enough time to hit all the good spots. I'd do another Google for the places to "hit." Start with "Old Town" and expand outward. There is also a local casino if you are gambler.

Can't exactly comment on camping there as we stayed in Santa Fe and drove down to see it. All I can say is WOW you won't regret going. It's been a couple of years for us but I sure would like to see it again.
